My headache has eased, but I'm still pretty delicate, so thought I'd read something light. My partner is a musician and I love music myself, so this book seemed a good choice. It's set in a music shop in London in the eighties and follows Frank (the man who owns the music shop), plus his assistant and the community of friends that run the nearby stores, such as the bakery and the tattoo parlour. The sense of community is refreshing in consideration of the isolation often faced in modern society and the blossoming love story is quite understated, which I appreciate.
