Reading progress update: I've read 120 out of 449 pages.
This is a fantastic book about the real causes of depression, such as our lack of connections and drive for materialism, which is at odds with what we actually need as human beings. For years we've been fed the unsubstantiated theory that depression is the result of a chemical imbalance in the brain. This logic is flimsy at best. If you suffer from depression I'd advise you to read this book. Check out this quote, it actually made me feel physically ill:
