Nanowrimo 2018: Update 17

Yesterday, after I'd updated, I went to a coffee shop with my writing friends, Andy and Bruce. Then we went round to the local community centre for our last official nanowrimo meet where another two lovely nanowrimoites turned up. I was pretty drained so didn't stay for the full meet, but got another 500 words written. When I came home I wrote a further 500, meaning I wrote 5000 words yesterday. Pretty good going.

Today I got up really early with 3,000 words to write. I got that done, plus a little extra besides and ended up doing 3185, so, I reached 50K! I won! 50k in 30 days! Phew, that was hard work, made so much easier by the great friends I made along the way, Andy and Bruce. The Nano events Bruce organised were great fun and totally made nano for me. Bruce is on my right, Andy opposite me.

My final word count stands at 50,301 words. I'm going to take a day or two off and then finish my novel, because it's not done yet. I need to do another 20,000 words roughly. I'm loving this novel, though and really feel this is the one.
