This was basically a series of unrelated comic strips, each depicting a scenario that affects us, with an inclination towards those of us struggling with varying levels of anxiety.
I read this (if you can really call it reading) on the train to Dublin and it helped take my mind off my anxiety about the trip, so I’ll always be grateful to it for that.
There isn’t too much to say about this apart from the best aspect, for me, was the reassurance it gave me that the things I think are more common than I realise. For example, I feel safer when my cat’s sitting on my bed and I thought this was really weird, but one of the drawings was about exactly that. It made a joke of it but the main thing is that now I don’t feel so weird. Result!
There’ a second book out this years and I can’t wait for it to come out. Such a light-heared, calming little book.
